The Medical Consenter must choose a PCP from the Superior network of providers for each child in STAR Health. If not, Superior will automatically assign one. It is very important to establish a medical home with a PCP who will keep medical records, know what medications the child takes and ensure the child receives the health care they need.
The PCP will also make referrals to specialists when needed or required by STAR Health.
For help in selecting a PCP or ordering a new STAR Health ID card, call STAR Health Member Services at 1.866.912.6283. Only the Medical Consenter can request a PCP change. |

Each child's PCP will be designated on the STAR Health ID Card. Refer to the STAR Health provider directory for a listing of all PCPs.
